Northeast migrants, including Meeteis, always face systemic racial profiling across housing, workplaces, and public spheres. DMCC's dedicated advocacy strives to guarantee Delhi NCR remains safe and equitable for our community.
Social Isolation
Far from home, community members and newly arrived students regularly experience profound social disconnection. The inclusive Meetei Club model exists precisely to foster belonging, forge friendships, and fully break isolation.
Housing Barriers
Students and young professionals regularly experience systemic housing discrimination across this region. DMCC's network of trusted contacts actively helps newcomers navigate finding a secure, fair home in the national capital.
Career Ceiling
Workplace stereotyping and hidden biases can limit long-term career growth. Our professional networks and targeted mentorship programs actively work to break these ceilings, connecting Meetei talent with new market opportunity.
SPUNER: Our Police Partnership
Established in February 2022 under Delhi Police's Crime Against Women Cell, SPUNER is the only dedicated police unit for Northeast residents in India. DMCC works closely with SPUNER to ensure community members know their rights and can access support when they need it.

A dedicated 24/7 helpline (1093) for Northeast residents in Delhi. For immediate life-threatening emergencies, dial 112. SPUNER officers can also be reached for non-emergency concerns and guidance.
Nanakpura Hub
Located in Nanakpura, New Delhi, SPUNER's office provides in-person support including counseling, mediation, and gender sensitization services specifically for Northeast women and families.
Community Registration
SPUNER maintains a secure digital database of Northeast residents in Delhi. Registering with SPUNER helps ensure faster emergency response and contributes to better safety planning for our community.
